Terms of Use

By downloading or using EarnIt (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. EarnIt is operated by the EarnIt team (“we,” “us,” “our”).

EarnIt helps families manage responsibilities and screen time. A parent or guardian creates tasks (chores, reading, and similar) for a child, the child submits evidence of completion (which may include a photo, a timer, an audio recording, or a location check-in), and the parent reviews and approves them. Optionally, using Apple’s Family Controls (Screen Time) framework and with a parent’s on-device authorization, the App can restrict other apps on a child’s device until assigned tasks are approved.

A parent or guardian (“Parent”) must be 18 or older and creates the family account. The Parent creates and manages child profiles and is responsible for all activity under the account, for obtaining any necessary consent from other guardians, and for supervising each child’s use of the App. You are responsible for keeping login credentials and PINs confidential.

EarnIt offers a free tier and an auto-renewable subscription, EarnIt Premium, billed through your Apple App Store account:

• Monthly: $9.99 USD per month.
• Annual: $89.99 USD per year.
• A 7-day free trial may be offered to new subscribers.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices are set in U.S. dollars and may vary by region and over time.

EarnIt uses Apple’s Family Controls framework to restrict apps on a child’s device. This requires a parent to authorize it on that device with a parent’s Apple ID, and it works only when the child is part of the parent’s Apple Family Sharing group. You choose which apps remain available while others are restricted. We do not control which apps you select, and the list of selected apps is stored only on the device by Apple and is never sent to our servers. You can turn off restrictions at any time in the App or in iOS Settings → Screen Time.

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to breach security, disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, or use it to harm, harass, or unlawfully surveil anyone. You are responsible for the content you submit and for using the App in compliance with applicable law.

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Screen Time restrictions rely on Apple’s frameworks and on network and device conditions; we do not guarantee that restrictions will apply instantly or without interruption, and EarnIt is not a substitute for parental supervision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
